FLOODING

Two more photos from Saturday's flood at the Cataract Gorge. The water has subsided somewhat over the past few days and I'm intending to re-visit the Gorge over the weekend.
Rain is forecast again for tomorrow which could sea the river level increase early next week.

DIGITAL FLOOD IMAGE

Today I have spent some time researching some ideas for a coloured pencil drawing of last Saturday's visit to Launceston's Cataract Gorge where I spent a few fruitful hours photographing flood waters.
I had a 'play' in Photoshop and came up with today's image. It still needs some detail added, especially in the white area near the front. I feel the foam needs a more three-dimensional look to it.
I certainly enjoy this type of image making, it's a nice change from my drawings.
