CANDLE FLAME

Following yesterday's photo of a candle I thought I'd take a "closer look" with today's image. I love the reflection of the flame on the top of the candle and the tiny patches of light surrounding the flame.

ROCK POOL

I once came across this delightful rock pool on the Douglas River, near Tasmania's East Coast.

The surrounding rock acts like a frame, trapping the reflected landscape.

I have drawn this scene in both oil pastels and coloured pencils.

This is a digitally-enhanced image of the Macquarie River near the historic property of Woolmers in Northern Tasmania.

This area is very popular with artists and trout fishermen alike. A beautiful part of Northern Tasmania!

THE SOUTH ESK RIVER

On the way home from St. Helens last week I stopped near Fingal and took this photo from a bridge near the town. As you can see it was a beautiful, still day, typical of this (Autumn) time of the year.

I particularly like the reflection of the cliffs and the Autmn light.
