COCONUTS

There are heaps of coconuts at Trinity Beach, usually washed up on the shore.

HEADING TO ABSTRACTION

Today I finished the first in a series of 'Pumpkin' drawings, and I've posted a copy for tomorrow's artblog. (http://artkleko.wordpress.com).
I have 3 more planned and while I was doing some research I came up with today's post, which I intend to interpret in coloured pencil in the next few weeks. It is not what one would call a 'true' abstract, because there are recognisable features, but it has given me a solid idea for a drawing.

PUMPKIN BEACH

I'm still sorting through the vast array of pumpkin photos that I took the other day.
I want to draw one slice with a seashore background. It won't be today's featured photo, but one on similar lines.
I want to make the composition a little wider and link the pumpkin seeds to the middle of the composition to make it look as if they are part of the rock face.

BREADSCAPE

Last year I spent several months on a Bread theme. This required a great deal of research and I spent many hours setting up and photographing various bread objects.
Today's image can be 'read' as either a collection of bread rolls, or as it is intended, a landscape.
I have yet to draw this composition, but it is on my 'to - do' list.
