COLOUR CHANGE

A variation from the current theme that I am working on.

WATER THEME

I have started to short-list several photos that I took last week in preparation for a series of coloured pencil drawings on a 'water' theme. You will note that there is a red grid over today's featured image. This will help me draw up the image more accurately and initially, helps me decide on the structure of the composition.

I have divided this image into four horizontal layers. The foreground is mainly 'calm' water, the middle distance area is actually two layers, a transition area from calm to surf, followed by the main wave crashing onto rocks. The background, layer 4, is mainly sky linked by the top of the main wave.
