CLOSE-UP

Last weekend when I was at the Liffey Falls, I came across a small torrent of water no wider than 60 cm, pouring over and around a rock.
It's wonderful when you come across such small scenes of activity in an environment full of objects that are much larger and more confronting.
I often take such photos and from time to time, they end up as coloured pencil drawings.

BELOW LIFFEY FALLS

This photo was taken just below the base of Liffey Falls. Can you feel the water surging past? Can you hear the thunderous sound of tumbling water?

BEFORE & AFTER

I tried to take the bottom photo of the Liffey Falls on Sunday from exactly the same position as the top photo, but there was too much water!
The top photo was taken last Autumn and the bottom on the last day of Winter. The colours and light are quite different, aren't they!

DETENTION FALLS

This photo was taken at the top of Detention Falls in Tasmania's Northwest. The falls look rather small, but I can assure you that is not the case!
