CATARACT GORGE 2.

Today's photo of the Cataract Gorge is taken from a walkway on the eastern side with the city of Launceston in the background and the Tamar River. There is a second walkway alongside the red-roofed building on the left hand side that  is sealed and provides easy access to the Gorge for visitors of all ages.

The walkway to the right is known as the "Zig Zag Path" and is a more strenuous way of seeing the Gorge and is very popular with those into physical fitness regimes. This side involves some climbing on a good track  but the rewards are the spectacular views.
