THE RIVER RUNS

Water from the North Esk River makes its way towards Launceston, the city where I live. This photo was taken last Autumn.

THE OPEN DOOR

Today I have been working on an idea for a coloured pencil drawing. It features a mug that has been left on a table in an old farm building.
I particularly like the shaft of light coming from a crack in the rear wall and the graffiti on the door.
This drawing will be quite a challenge. I will need to make it large (80 x 60 cm) in order to show the marks on the door and the detail in the room.

ROCKY OUTCROP

The rocks that you can sea in the middle distance were certainly taking a pounding when I photographed them.
This photo was taken on the North East Coast of Tasmania, just south of the world-famous Bay of Fires.

EAST COAST WAVES

You'd be right if you've seen a similar image, there's one on my blog banner. It's not exactly the same, just taken a little later than the banner photo.
I love the furious nature of the waves contrasting with the placid water in the foreground.

MORE FROM HAWLEY BEACH

I love the way this large rock seems to have been pushed up, out of the sand.
