ON THE BEACH

You always find interesting objects at the high tide mark of any beach. I like this photo taken at Beer Barrel Beach on Tasmania's East Coast last week, mainly because it contains some half-buried shells. There is a sense of 'mystery' about this composition that I find intriguing. The shells aren't pure white, in fact they are splattered with sand, some having a 'gritty, weathered' look.
This image would be well suited to either pastels or coloured pencils.
