CHILLAGOE 1.

Last week my wife Val and I spent three days at Chillagoe, about 200 klms west of Cairns. This area is famous for its caves, mining, deposits of marble,a smelter that operated from 1901-1943, and its unique landscape.
Today I am featuring 'The Balancing Rock'.
As you can see, it's rather huge!
A few years ago the rock was hit by lightning and it lost a piece of rock weighing 1.5 tonnes and it's still there!
