DIP FALLS

Aren't waterfalls wonderful! Their sight, sound and design make them unique members of the landscape.
Tasmania is blessed with many spectacular waterfalls.
Today's image is from the Northwest of Tasmania and is easily accessible by car and foot. This photo was taken late one Summer. In the Spring after heavy rain, the falls come alive!

WATERFALLS

St. Columba Falls in the North-East highlands of Tasmania is a spectacular (and at times noisy) sight. I have drawn this subject on several occasions and have published an example on my art blog  (http://artkleko.wordpress.com) today.
Being in a steep, narrow valley, it is often seen in subdued light. This photo was taken last week on a cloudy mid-afternoon in Autumn.
