GLASS ABSTRACT

This digital image is the result of a photo of the view through an old, dirty pane of glass.
One can see tree and mountain forms.
The lighter coloured shapes are marks, scratches and dried bird poo ...

CHESHUNT 1.

This morning I visited Cheshunt, my favourite property and took over 100 photos, hoping for a new idea or two for my coloured pencil art.
I thought I'd start today with the first of a series of images from my visit. I shall post further examples on Monday and beyond.
I particularly like this view through an old, weathered window.

WINDOW 3.

The third, and last in this mini-series on windows.
This time it's a single pane of glass that contains a beautiful semi-abstract composition.

WINDOW 1.

This section of a window from a farm in Northern Tasmania, is a wonderful example of 'natural' mark making.
I have short-listed this image for a possible drawing.
If I did decide to interpret this image in coloured pencil I intend to frame it using an old, wooden window frame.

A FORK IN THE ROAD

I spent the first 3 days of this week in Hobart, our capital city. Over the next week I will share with you some of the photos that I took.
Today's image needs no explanation.

ABSTRACTS FROM CHESHUNT 4.

I think this image has much potential as a coloured pencil drawing.

ABSTRACT 4.

This window pane has obviously been a hit with the local birds!
