This section of a window from a farm in Northern Tasmania, is a wonderful example of 'natural' mark making.
I have short-listed this image for a possible drawing.
If I did decide to interpret this image in coloured pencil I intend to frame it using an old, wooden window frame.

Last Wednesday I visited Cheshunt, an old farming property in Northern Tasmania, to collect ideas and images for some coloured pencil drawings and a series of digital prints.

Over the next week I will post some of the images I took. These need some work, but at least you will be able to see the main idea behind each composition.

THE WORLD OUTSIDE

I photographed this window in an old farm building at Cheshunt, in Northern Tasmania.

There is a lovely contrast between these two rocks.

I love the marks on the top rock, so different from the patterns on the rock below.
