THE CATHEDRAL FIG

There are two superb strangler figs on the Atherton Tablelands, the 'Curtain' fig and today's image, the 'Cathedral Fig'. The latter is my favourite and I'll post more images of it tomorrow.

Lately, I have been developing ideas related to the 'rock' theme that has played a major role in my art for the past 12 months.

Today's image is one that I created and photographed this morning. I usually work in a horizontal format, but decided on a vertical approach this time.

I photographed this composition as a horizontal, but prefer it as a vertical.

I like the way that the piece of wood across the centre divides the image into two roughly equal sections.
