This photo of bread is an idea I had for a Holy Communion theme.

I have found 'bread' an inspiring subject to work with. In fact, I'm 're-visiting' this theme in my art (drawing) at present and I'm grateful for the large amount of research I did on this subject last year as it has given me many examples to choose from and develop.

RELIGIOUS ART Part 3.

Today's photo is one of my versions of England's famous 'Stonehenge'. 'Loghenge' is a symbolic representation with an emphasis on re-birth and renewal. In other words, a 'Resurrection' theme. I have included an example (drawing) that I did as a result.

ART IDEA 3.

I have always been interested in 'Stonehenge', on Salisbury Plain in England. The resulting drawing is on the theme of re-birth/resurrection.

The sticks were set up in the vegetable garden and a little sand was added to more clearly define the shadows, which in turn were given even greater clarity in the resulting coloured pencil drawing.

ART IDEAS 2.

Today's photo and resulting artwork is based on the theme of resurrection/ re-birth and is titled

"Born Again".

This is both a religious and an environmental response. The triangle represents the Holy Trinity and roughly, a stylised map of Tasmania where I live, if you look at the composition from the right-hand side.
